Removing a WebGlimpse archive

For an overview of WebGlimpse, please see the WebGlimpse home page.

For information on creating archives and what they are, see configuring an archive using the confarc command.

Removing an archive

Removing an archive involves removing all the administrative and index files that were created by the utility makenh (and later by wgreindex), and all the search boxes added to HTML pages. For this, there is a WebGlimpse script called rmgharc.

Since archives are independent and are based on directories, a user can delete one archive without disturbing another archive.

Simply type rmgharc, and follow the prompts. This will delete all WebGlimpse and Glimpse files associated with the archive, and will remove the neighborhoods and search boxes from all files listed in the .wg_toindex file.
